BHS Cultural Connections Event May 11, from 5 pm – 7 pm

We are excited to present our inaugural BHS Cultural Connections event!!!

The event will be held on Monday, May 11th, from 5pm-7pm in the BHS Commons/NPAC. This event will showcase and celebrate the great diversity within our school community. We’re inviting BHS clubs, as well as future BHS students from feeder pattern schools, to join in the fun. YOU can become a part of this event by volunteering to host an informational table about a culture or to educate and entertain with a cultural performance.

Ice skating opens to the public on Friday, November 29 and closes on Monday, January 20 and is a part of the Bellevue Magic Season. Families can make it a night of holiday fun with a visit to Snowflake Lane at The Bellevue Collection and stroll through Garden d’Lights at the Bellevue Botanical Garden. On Monday, December 9, 2019, in the Northshore Middle School Library starting at 7pm there will be a special presentation that will help you navigate and understand your student’s special education rights.
 
Scott Raub, Special Education Parent & Community Liaison, Washington State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI), will present and then answer questions about the “Notice of Special Education Procedural Safeguards for Students & Families”—a document provided to families at IEP meetings.
