Navigating Special Ed Procedural Safeguards

Navigating Special Ed Procedural Safeguards
On Monday, December 9, 2019, in the Northshore Middle School Library starting at 7pm there will be a special presentation that will help you navigate and understand your student’s special education rights.
Scott Raub, Special Education Parent & Community Liaison, Washington State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI), will present and then answer questions about the “Notice of Special Education Procedural Safeguards for Students & Families”—a document provided to families at IEP meetings.

Staff Appreciation Holiday Cookie Exchange

On Thursday, December 19th, we will be thanking BHS Teachers and Staff by providing each with a decorative cookie tin to fill with cookies donated by our wonderful generous parents! Please sign up to donate a minimum of 2 dozen cookies, homemade or store bought, your choice of flavor and variety! Please deliver to the faculty lounge by Thursday 12/19 by 9:30 am. You can place your items on the back table and label it “staff appreciation”. Or if it’s easier for you, you can deliver to my house near Maywood Hills by Wednesday the 18th. Call or text for my address 425-922-9329.

Also, BHS Music Boosters has generously arranged for a 6″ poinsettia to be raffled to a lucky teacher at the event. If you have something you would like to be donated for a raffle, please let me know!
